Clouds tutorial - The Edge way by Kanza Clouds tutorial - The Edge way by Kanza
edit : I added a very important warning for the 3rd step of the 3rd step ! D':

Tools : Photoshop
More : [link] (according to me : useless)
You can download the full-sized picture (which is really big) here [link]

Phew ! It was very long to do this tutorial but I finally did iiiiit ! This tutorial is very long because I wanted to illustrate it as much as possible. I wanted to add some tips and analyzes too.
Anyway, it's my first tutorial on DA. I did some few french tutorials when I was younger but they are quite bad (and I worked with a mouse !) so I won't submit them.

I hope it'll help you, give you ideas, inspire you or cheer you up.

For deathofrats and all my watchers.

Thank you SO much for this. Clouds are intimidating to draw, they never come out looking like... clouds when I try them. And they're such a great way to add a simple but effective background. I'm going to give your technique a try. Thank you again! D:

Are the scatter, flow, and jitter options only for recent versions of Corel because it only mentions it in the help topics thingy ):

And I've got Photoshop 5, too, but when i try to do the clouds, it comes up with the circles in different shades of purple and blue, when i chose an aqua color @_@

Thanks !

Yesh \o/ !
(même si t'as passé que 5 minutes dessus) Les trucs qui me frappent c'est :
1) T'as effacé ton nuage ! PABIEN !

Du coup ça me rend triste v_v

Thank you soooo much for taking the time to make such a complete tutorial! :'D :hug::heart::worship:
The little tips you left are really really helpful (like tremble as you drawXD). I've been dabbling in opencanvas lately but most of the digital medium is still a mystery to me and it's so wonderful to have a step by step:love: (And also the tidbits about colour blending will come in handy even in other things<33)

I'm glad it helped you !

If you want to begin digital art, I advise you* "Paint tool SAI". You only have a trial version of 31 days but it's one of the best software I've ever used : nice brushes and blending, smooth lines, not too much tools, very light and fast... and I personally found it more intuitive than the other drawing softwares. ^^ I'm sparing money to buy it <3

Paint Tool SAI (and almost all drawing softwares) most important tools :

My eyes are actually burning !
All this time in front of the computer, writing this tutorial and watching all my super-bright-and-colored-skies at the same time ! o_o

The fourth sky is actually kinda old ! I put it in because I wanted to fill a blank, and also because I love this one.
And no problem ! I hope it'll help ! ^^
